Mild and Low-Alloy Steel Weld Materials
Fabrication and maintenance of mild, low-alloy and high-strength steel.
Weld Mold® 200
A versatile, general-purpose, all-position low-alloy steel electrode designed and developed for production and maintenance welding of mild steel. Uses include fabrication and maintenance welding of sheet metal ducts, tanks, culverts, pipe, plate and angle iron.
Specification: NA
Available forms: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW
Weld Mold® 204
A high-speed, medium-penetration iron-powder electrode for steel fabrication with low spatter, excellent slag removal and easy re-strike. Uses include all types of mild-steel fabricating, poor fit-up joining, plate, tanks and beams.
Specification: NA
Available forms: SMAW
Weld Mold® 215-T CM
A versatile, high-strength chrome/moly alloy used to join and repair alloys of approximately the same analysis. Other uses include fabrication of race- and stock-car components, pressure vessels, high-pressure pipe, cast and wrought sections of chrome/moly base metal.
Specification: AWS-E80S B2
Available forms: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW
Weld Mold® 202
A low-hydrogen, chrome/nickel/moly alloy for high-strength, crack-resistant weld deposits. Uses include the joining of T-1, HY 80/90 steels and “problem” steels containing sulphur, graphite or other elements to improve machinability.
Specification: NA
Available forms: SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW
Weld Mold® 210
A unique alloy designed to join crack-sensitive sections of 4130 and 4140 steels. Also used for the repair and buildup of cracked sections of P-20 mold steel. Uses include buildup, fabrication and low-hardness overlays.
Specification: AWS-E80S D2
Available forms: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW
Weld Mold® 225-T CM
Similar to 215-T CM, except chrome/moly alloy content is increased, exhibiting higher physical properties. Uses include fabrication and repair of chrome/moly alloys of approximately the same analysis; power piping and boiler maintenance.
Specification: AWS-E90S-B3
Available forms: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW
